Choosing Your Perfect Big Joe Filling

At Big Joe, our products come with two types of filling: Bean and Foam (also called “Fuf”).

Bean-Filled Products

Our bean-filled bean bag chairs are ideal for individual use and come in a variety of shapes and fabrics. These lightweight chairs are filled with small polystyrene beads that hug your body, providing a supremely comfortable sitting experience. While our beans are designed to retain their shape longer than competitors, all well-loved bean bags will naturally flatten over time. No worries—you can easily refresh your bean bag with a Bean Refill pack here.

Our bean-filled pool floats offer a unique “no air required” floating experience! Each float is filled with the perfect amount of beans so that water flows through to lift and buoyantly support you in the pool. All bean-filled products will have non-removable covers, and be spot clean only. 

Foam-Filled Products (Fuf)

Our foam-filled chairs, or Fufs, are larger and cloud-like, giving you a spacious, never-goes-flat sitting experience. Filled with shredded recycled flexible polyurethane foam, these chairs are durable, substantial, and environmentally friendly—using foam that might otherwise end up in landfills.

Foam-filled Fufs are heavier than bean-filled chairs, but they never need refilling. To keep them feeling fresh, simply toss the chair to redistribute the foam. Because Fufs are big, we recommend measuring the space where your chair will live and unboxing it in that room. Most of these items come with removable covers that are machine washable, with the exception of vegan leather and other select premium covers.
