Big Joe Bean-Filled Item Warranty Policy
Big Joe's Limited Manufacturer's Warranty offers coverage for bean-filled items purchased through authorized retailers or directly from Big Joe.
Warranty Coverage for Bean-Filled Products
Cover Warranty
All bean-filled Big Joe products include a limited 1-year manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in:
- Materials
- Seams and stitching
- Workmanship under normal residential use
Coverage begins on the original purchase date.
Please note: On items other than the Lux Sealander, the cover alone cannot be replaced, due to these items being composed without an inner liner. In cases of manufacturing defects, such as the listed above, Big Joe will replace the entire item at no additional cost.
Bean Fill Warranty
Bean-filled products naturally compress and flatten over time with normal use. Because of this, the bean fill itself carries a more limited coverage period.
Coverage Includes:
- Products that go flat or noticeably deflate within the first 60 days of purchase
If this occurs, Big Joe may provide a refill solution after reviewing the claim.
Normal Wear
Flattening after regular use is considered normal and is not considered a defect beyond the initial coverage period. Additional bean fill is available for purchase through the BuyBigJoe.com website.
What Is Required for a Warranty Claim?
Customers must provide:
- Original proof of purchase
- Photos of the issue, including:
- Close-up of damage
- Full product image
- “Short tag” showing product/PO information
Products purchased from unauthorized sellers are not eligible for warranty coverage. (support.buybigjoe.com)
What Is Not Covered?
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal flattening or compression over time
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, spills, punctures, burns, or improper care
- Pet damage
- Mold or mildew
- Fading (unless specifically using Sunbrella or Sunbelievable fabrics)
- Commercial or non-residential use
Additional Notes
- Bean-filled products are designed to be refillable over time.
- Big Joe recommends using official refill packs to restore comfort as beans naturally compress with use.
